Saturday (10/10) Afternoon - Saw nothing, first time using a climbing tree stand...That is a good work out...learned to pick better trees...trail and error no falls, just fighting the bark.

It's finally here. The long anticipated opening day of the 2009 Archery season. Unfortunately, the weather decided that today really wouldn't be a good day to start the season. After a rather mild summer and then a couple beautiful weeks of fall it turned nasty. Rain this morning, followed by a very cool and damp morning, then more rain this afternoon. I did my best to sit in the stand this morning in hopes that a deer might wander in my direction but no such luck. All I got was cold, and...

To start out I like the idea of keeping a blog...The problem is I have a hard time writing about anything in particular. So, perhaps if I keep a blog about my hunting this year it will continue to build. I will also be able to have a way of tracking what is going on in the area this year.

Well I sure was excited for the start of archery season. Set up my new stand right next to the swamp. I was debating my selection in broadhead choice. Went with the rage 3 blade.
