...talked with a great many of them as you might presume...
...and while it was obvious that there were some that weren't getting much traffic into their booths(like that every yeere)...there were still others that were continuously OVERFLOWING with Dealers and Buyers "this yeere"...
...after the first day was over and the second days began...I usually do what I always do...ask the Manufacturer's "HOW IS BUSINESS FOR YOU AT THIS YEERE"S SHOW"?
...almost every single one of them stated "this is only the second day and we've already done a TON of business" ;)
...a fair amount of them also stated that while "foot traffic" is down, "sales are up"!!!...
...so it appears as if "they" seem to think the approach the ATA has taken the past couple of yeere's by "limiting" the attendees to Dealer/Buyers is paying off for them in the form of increased sales and efficient use of their time, money, manpower and overall efforts in coming to this show!!...
...and I would tend to agree...this yeere especially, there were no where neere the amount of "Staff Shooters" and general "internet presonna's" there as has been the case(damnit I said "case" ) in past yeere's...
...while it's always nice to see your "internet bud's" ...I guess we'll have to continue to banter on the World Wide Web or do so while at ASA, NFAA Shoots accross the Country!! ;)
...it was refereshing to once again be able to conduct "business" without having to battle the "bloviator's" who are only there taking up precious space and who pass out stacks of resume's attempting to get on the Manufacturer's "staff" or who seek "freebie's" from Manufacturer's or to simply tell about the yeere's deer hunting escapades...
...even with the "limitaions" put in place by the ATA...there were still TON'S of FAMOUS people there, but they were either there "working" booths or they were there to sign Autographs at designated Booths at Designated times...lines were long and the folks were courteous ;)
...no one seemed to want mine...although when they found out who I was  ...a number of them said "Wow, so you're DonDeere, you're a Legend yourself bud" :D
...lol...enough of that :5bowtie:
...all in all, I feel the ATA is doing a STELLAR job of keeping the Manufacturer's and Dealers working together and working towards the same goal!!...that being providing a better environment in which to keep "the business" of Archery Alive and Well...
...THANKS ATA ;)
