IZMIR, Turkey - First-year Anna Harrington competed in the Youth World Championships in Turkey, October6-12. The Bernardsville, N.J. native finished 22nd out of 75 competitors in the Junior Women's Recurve Division, the highest American finish.The first day of competition featured the two longer distances of 70m and60m. Harrington's score of 622 ranked her 16th overall heading into day two, the highest of the three American archers competing in the event.Her 622 points from day one, combined with her 638 points from the shorter distances of 50m and 30m on day two, gave her a final score off 1260, placing her 22ndoverall. As a result, the first-year received a bye in the elimination round.In the 32nd elimination round, Harrington defeated Valentine De Giuli of Switzerland by a score of102-97.
