I have owned Archer Advantage for about 18 months or so.* I recently decided to also buy TAP as I had some reservations about "some" things that I was getting from AA, mostly speed estimations.* AA would give me estimated speed from a two sight markings, but if I chose that same arrow from " shaft section", the speed estimation was far different from actual use.* But I do like the sight tapes on AA.* Anyway............

After I built my bow into TAP, which I might add...with a lot of assistance from Tony, (awesome service) I had my first test today.* Using two sight marks TAP showed a speed of 231.35 fps* for my target bow set-up, (02 Hoyt proTec, LX Pro Limbs,* command cams, ACC's (369 grains) at my draw length.* When I did the "calculate everything" method it showed a speed of 231.5.* Very very close.* Enough to give me confidence that my build bow was correct.* *AA showed a speed of less than 227.*

Well, today at the club another member had a Chrono.* Guess what my speed was?* Yep, 231, 231, 231 for threee shots.* I now feel confident that when "playing" with different arrows set-ups, I will know the speed before I ever buy the arrow.....

Thanks, Tony..............................ck

I have to agree! All the testing I have done tap is right on the money.

I'm not really happy with the yearly update fee.

For speed calculations BPF is EVERYTHING!!!!!

If you are within 2" of 30 and have an adjustable cam the database BPF should be pretty close. If you have a shorter draw and a non-adjustable cam like the Hoyt Spiral for example I would urge you to use the bow tab and enter a known speed at draw by selecting 'use my own specs' and entering what you have. Once you have the BPF any change you make to the bow will be accounted for.
