The challenge was a joke. Not a pass through, but looking for an arrow to poke out the back. The Block had one poke through the back, but not pass through. Not sure what bow they were using but, my setup will poke one through on every shot. So what, they don't pass through or even go to the vanes. It is all just marketing jokes and sour grapes on Rhineharts part, IMO.

block didn't show up. but it only took eight shots for him to go through the block with broadheads using a 60 lb. bow at 29" dl.

All I can say is I threw 3 blocks out to the curb in less the 3 months ! I still have a rinehart block a year later.
legend maybe not ? best dam targets YES.

...what exactly was this challenge all about, I've never heard of it prior to this post
...was the arrow actually supposed to "pass through" ...sticking through the other side doesn't constitute a "pass through" in my book nor anyone else's...
...we have a Rinehart Rhino Block and find it to be quite durable...some may find his business tactics to be in need of a thing or two possibly...but as for the Rinehart block, well, it's a darn good product IMHO...

I'm thinking about going into the Block making biz too. Pressure poured C-Crete with a cannon ball in the middle. If you EVER pass through it I'll give you a free target!!! LOL

Deereman...... In our ATA bag........ there was a "stuffer" page listing a challenge from Rinehart and said they would give you a cashier's check if you could prove that the Block was more durable. To the tune of $100,000.

...geez Monte, I guess I didn't see your reply to this topic...sorry bud :(
...at least now I know why I didn't know about it...I asked if I could get one of those *:icon_cool: ATA bag-o-goodies and when the lady at the desk saw my name tag, said that as an exhibitor we did not get those bags!! :icon_eek:
...next year you stop and see me the first day "with your bag" so I'm up to date on these kind of issues...it's not like me to "not" know about these things :D :D
...you'd a thought a 100K CHALLENGE MATCH would have been the buzz of that show...and I never heard a word about it by anyone there :eusa_think:
...I "loaned" my rinehart block to a buddy for his crossbow last fall...told him he would like it!!...he said he was going to use it to sight in and bring it back...and let me know if it was any good...I guess I need to give him a call :icon_mrgreen:
think what you will of John on a personal level, thats your affair. but that rhinehart cube is the most durable arrow stoper in the game.
I chewed up 3 blocks in the time I have been shooting the rhino and its still going. I'll take that bet.
