I would like to make my own recurve,

I am thinking it would be nice to have one i personally made plus i am hoping it will a bunch cheaper as well

does any one know what i need to get started or any people or place to check out?

my uncle has some basic wood working tools, is that enough, or do i need to spend big money on special tools and a cooker and things like that?

any advice would be great thanks!

Without a doubt, the place you want to go to is http://www.binghamprojects.com/

They're a one-stop source for all you'll need.

And Welcome to ASN's Traditional home!

Yea, there are some others who sell laminations and stuff, but for a complete deal, they are the only ones that I know of. I've read reports from folks who've made their kits that they were good, sound bows. I'd like more info on them too and to hear more about thier stuff. Maybe someone else can get in here and comment...

Bingham is the place to use. They have the most complete line of "how to" I have seen....and I have done a lot of looking. About the toughest thing is deciding on wood combinations...look at different bows to find what colors and woods you prefer. I will be making a Bingham project myself in the future. Good luck! :D
