I saw another show with the Fitzgearalds, I am sorry but Dan and Guy spend more time advertising for themselves than actually hunting. I for one dont care for there shows at all, lets get some real hunting going on is what I would tell them.
I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR EVERYONE ELSES THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS.

I saw Dan Fitzgerald and Bob Foulkrod rolling on the floor at an AMO show several years back! :xn_cheesygrin:

I thought it was hilarious!

I know Bob pretty well....don`t know Dan at all, BUT, when he first started pumping out videos he called himself "Mister Passthrough".

I never saw a guy leave so many arrows hanging in a deer in my life! I have no idea how he figured that was a good name for himself? :x_rolleyes:

I'm not overly impressed with them. I want a show that is informative about hunting. Not one about building furniture, cooking with a car manifold, or the other stuff they show.

Most of the hunting shows are becoming nothing but a 30minute advertisement and a step by step instruction how how to hunt behind a high fence. I still say the Drury's are the only ones worth watching.

I want to see hunting videos. No high fences. No fancy edits. I want to see the excitment, the expression of the hunter, and the truth. That's what we are striving for at Full Draw Outdoors. Guys who go out and do there own scouting, hang there own stands, and do all the hard work. It makes for a very rewarding hunt, and an awesome video.

I get tired of watching all these guys just hang off the side of a tree and shoot at a deer. What I'd really like to see is more how-to segments like they do on car and home improvement shows.

Give us a show that will make us better hunters, not just a video history of someone elses hunt with a bunch of product plugs thrown in.

I agree with Panzer. I want to see the why and where they decide to place a stand with maybe some topo or aerial shots shown to back it up. How about a stalk sometime? All deer are not shot out of tree stands you know. How about filming the tracking process too and maybe field dressing or caping? You know... real stuff!

I can't stand Guy and don't care about cooking on my manifold, so I don't watch Team F's anymore.

Can't stand 'em.... one of THE worst shows out there! *Compared to the high quality productions out there, I simply can't believe they have ANY sponsors??? I like the way The Wild Outdoors, Drury's Outdoors, Archer Choice, the Truth, these shows are all great productions. I also think that Closing the Distance has some serious potential, them boys take some dandies!

i tell you guys. i have been bowhunting for over 21 years and back then Dan was new to the screen and he was awesome. i used to rent and or buy every video of his. remember this is when guy was no even in the picture and the love affair with God (not that there is anything wrong with that) began on video. his earlier videos are full of excitement and great info and hunting scenes. after a few years i got over the video fetish and moved on to other things like reading about bowhunting and other video makers like Drury Outdoors (awesome, excellent and solid hunters). i recently bought a couple of videos, one being a Fitzgerald and one a Drury. i was really disappointed with Dan's video but impressed with the Drury's. it seems that ever since Guy got involved in the footage and production end things have just gone down hill. i think the Fitz boys have forgot about their roots. you know how were things before all the money started rolling in, well the videos were good. if you want to see good Fitz videos try his earlier ones and stay away from the ones that have Guy in them as he grows. "swamp bucks bonanza", "corn crazed bucks" "down for the count" "passin thru" are all good bowhunting videos. Drury's everyone i have seen older and newer are excellent and well put together.

one interesting tidbit on Dan Fitz. Did you guys know he is blind in one eye and has been for many, many years but is still a crack shot. that boys you can not take from him or his kid. both excellent instinctive shooters and Dan with only one eye.

He is right........I do not watch Fitz any more but his old videos were excellent. ..Fight for the Right was another good one and his video with Bob F was an excellent one. I look at some of his new ones and think that they are less then entertainment......but his thougths on cooking on the engine might come in usefull is you are stuck some where in your car........that I never would have thought of if I did not see it. I do not criticize Dan for his religious over tones in fact I endorse Dan and Ted Nugent for doing this....this is alot better then hearing trash talk on the radio or TV!!!!!!!!

Don't know about the old Fitz videos but I might have to check them out. I don't care for the show and guess that means the same for the new videos too.

I can vouch for the tip on cooking (heating) on the top of an engine. We do it all the time out on our boats. Up comes the hatch and put your foil wrapped whatever right on the intake manifold and close the hatch back down for a while. A nice 350 Magnum V-8 works nicely. A 502 has more room. These HP-525's will cook up a banquet! :) Or run around with it in there for a bit. The boat's engine compartment (I/O) stay pretty warm so it works good. Rough water might put your menu down in the bilge water though... ugh!

I used to feel the same way tell I met them face to face.......They changed my whole outlook on them.........These guy's truly love our sport and go through great lengths to get it out to the public...............Told some great stories about Chuck Adams...Not trying to change minds and do agree the older shows were better but i am glad I talked to them.......Anyone gets the chance do the same and talk to them......

Plus they had a few TRUE stories about one off our very own members....... :D

Of all the shows of theirs that I have watched................the over the shoulder shots, and different angle impacts are pretty cool. However, I grow tired of the macho, " I shoot 90#'s instinctive w/ fingers", crap to last the rest of my life! They act like that is what you have to do to be a successful bowhunter. Most people don't shoot 90#'s, or instintive, or w/ fingers! I think they're missing the group they're trying to advertise to by a mile.

Well I have to agree with the most on here The Fitzgeralds are at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to hunting shows ...

The Drury's & Primos rocks ...

I agree, the Drurys are good, they don't have big egos like some of the other guys. Tonight for instance, they both missed chip shots on does. Instead of burning the flim, they laughed it off and aired it.

Hey, I have an Idea,, Instead of watching the same ol boring Deer kills,, Let's have a show that tests all of these products that are so idolized by all of we hunters,, the new, the old, and the up and coming stuff,,, Man what a thought,, to see someone out there using these products and giving a Thumbs down to something,,,I would bet half the stuff out there is worthless, or at least could be made in your very own backyard instead of paying the advertizing companies millions,,,Lets Just get the plain truth about our hunting stuff,,, and these multimillion dollar bows they are selling, Lets puttem up against the lil guys,, Just to see how things pan out,,,,At least we'd get to see whats worth buying ,and whats not...Takeum.
