Hey Seahawk, The 2005 Elite is silky smooth, and definately quiet, after the shot the bow balances in your hand and doesnt move it is the most shock free bow I have ever shot.
2005 catalogs hopefully will be out next week.Check the new line up at your local dealer. I will see about getting a listing of all the dealers so everyone will have an idea as to where to look, also if your dealer doesnt carry Storm please tell them to contact Storm archery for dealership enquireries.

When I shot the new Elite bow and the new E bow I was torn between the two but I have leaned towards the new Elite it has more options than any other bow on the market, you can add sims products and side stabalizers everywhere.

And with 3 versions to choose from! What more could you ask for! The all new E1 Series come in

37" A to A, 35" A to A, and 33" A to A :xn_lol:

You have to shoot them to believe in them, but once you do........

What is the brace height and IBO of the 37" model?

E-1 series 37

Brace Height is 7 3/4"

Set at 29" draw at 62#'s using a carbon express 200 select total grain weight of 320 shoots at 287 fps

To be honest, we have not tested for speed based at 30" draw at 70#'s with a 350 grain shaft. At the speeds we are getting with the lower poundage and shorter draw we feel it will be in the 300 fps range.

I feel it is more important to be in the high 80's at the shorter draws shooting a comfortable poundage. This is the range that I test all bows first. Let's face it, there is very few shooters, shooting 70 #'s + at a 30" + draw. It is our experience that about 90% of all shooters are in the 28 to 29" draw range.

I agree with what Edgell said about IBO speeds. Its true that most of the archers that I know do not have a 30" draw length. I myself have a very short 26" draw length and have to shoot high poundage to get any speed at all. I don't hunt. I mainly shoot 3D. My draw length is a big disadvantage when it comes to speed. But on the other hand.I can shoot a much shorter axle to axle and brace height bow very accurately because the string angle is not a factor at that draw length.

The new storm line of bows looks very interesting. I wonder what the speed would be in my draw length?
I am waiting for the catalog to come in the mail to read more about them. From what I have seen here they are very nice looking.

Since Edgell is at the ATA Show and I am here, I can't tell you for sure what kind of speed you could get with a 26" draw. But I can tell you that I have a 21" draw and shoot 50# and I get 252 fps. The Lil Thunder that Storm Archery has is awesome for all of us "short draw" archers. And the best part of it, is that the bow doesn't "look" like a "kids" bow. When he calls in tonight I will check with him on the speeds that you could expect.

I just spoke with Edgell. His response to your question, "The new storm line of bows looks very interesting. I wonder what the speed would be in my draw length?" was:

Not knowing the poundage that he is shooting an estimate for a 26" draw at 60#'s would be around 260 to 265 fps., but could vary depending on which bow is being used. When he returns from the ATA Show he will research this for you and post the results here. Since you stated that you shoot the shorter AtA he will be looking at the F6 and the E-1 Series 33.

Iterry,

Thank you for asking Edgell about this. I have been waiting on a 05 storm catalog to come in the mail to read about the new bows. From what I see here the stormlite and E series should be great shooters. I will wait to hear what Edgell finds out after he returns.

Thanks again!

Chris,

Just got done talking with Edgell.* He says the shooting lanes has been very busy today.* The ELITE and the E-1 Series has generated a lot of interest at the Storm Booth as well as the shooting lanes.* The flyers have arrived, but they are at the ATA Show.* Send me a PM with your mailing information and I will get one in the mail to you as soon as I get there tomorrow night.*

Thanks for your interest in Storm Archery.* *:xn_lol:
