After much thought I will attend all 3 rounds of Bedford, Erie and Nelsonville.

Any tips or advice you want to pass along to an IBO green horn?

Hope to hear from some of you :D

Don't know about Bedford, Erie and Nelsonville, but the IBO Southern Triple Crown has been great. As with any shoot, just relax and have fun dude. 8)

Buckeye, I have shot the Triple Crown for awhile, if you have trouble relaxing at the event, talk to everyone there that you can and treat it like a local shoot with all your friends being there.

Everytime I submitted it it said there was an error and it didn't go through, that is why I have three posts all the same. sorry, I don't care about being the top poster really!!!!

You just knew you needed a few more posts to pass me up...

Buckeye, have you shot any ASA Pro/Ams?

No just alot of local shoots.

I am looking forward to going. I really wanted to go last year but didn't go through with it. I am still kicking myself for not going

That is good advice. Of course I have only shot one national but I plan on picking up a couple more ASA shoots next year, SC and TN. I think the group you shoot with has a lot to do with how you enjoy the tournament on local or national shoots. The group I shot with at Roanoke was fun and it made the experience good. Like it has been said keep it fun.

Try to stay relaxed. Just go to have fun but keep your focus.

To many people go to a big shoot and put to much pressure on themselfs to shoot good and end up having a bad day.

What size are the groups that you shoot with at IBO shoots?

If you're shooting the Open class....... make sure your sight tape looks something like this.....(if you're using archery software.... most will include it automatically if you click the 'IBO' button)

I have never shot an IBO national tourney but from what I have been told that is the truth.

Now come on, we haven't had that holy crap setting in years. Well maybe in the pro classes, once in a while. Don't scare the poor guy to death!
What we will always do is try and set an interesting and challenging round.
Just bring your thinking cap and leave the last target back there. Enjoy the shoot, have fun and get to know as many of the good folks that shoot 3-D as you can.

Go and have fun and shoot your little heart out and join in all the great conversations and good people to talk to.

Buckeye, look for the Rexhall motor home with the BowTech banner on it. We have fun. Kids invited. The IBO Triple Crown is tough at Nelsonville. Bedford was easy in comparison. I haven't made Erie yet. The Worlds are a blast. Hope to see you there.
SPECTRE, of course you're invited to find the banner. Everyone is.

don't go expecting to win.....go expecting to shoot within yourself and have a good time and soak it all up......
