The Dallas area Bowhunter Ed instructor group has scheduled a class for February 24th and 25th at Martin Creek Lake State Park in east Texas. This is our first excursion into east Texas with the course and we are really excited about it. Martin Creek Lake State Park has graciously offered to let us use their facilities to hold the class. Martin Creek Lake State Park is south of Longview just outside of Tatum.
Bowhunter Education has not been offered in east Texas in recent years and Texas Parks and Wildlife wants this class to be a big success so more classes can be scheduled. We need the support of all bowhunters in the area to help make the class a success. If you haven’t taken Bowhunter Education, this is a great opportunity to take the class.
Bowhunter Education is offered by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department through the International Bowhunter Education Program and the National Bowhunter Education Foundation. 16 states and Canadian provinces require Bowhunter Education and this is the course that is required. Topics include conservation, bowhunter responsibility and ethics, equipment, shot placement, range estimation, blood trailing, treestand safety and more.
Please tell your friends about the class and sign up to take it. Class size is limited so don't wait to call. Looking forward to meeting everyone! Call 903-646-0083 to register for the class.
