I think an Alaskan or Canadian Caribou - Moose - Bear hunt would be awesome.

I'm working on leasing 40 acres of prime land in Pike Co Illinois for next season!
My brothers Mother in law owns it. I hope it works out. :D

Joe I'm in St. Louis, not too far from you up a little north.

I'll pay for your gas!

I love hunting north eastern missouri across the river from Pike County. Probably as close as I'll ever get. :(

Hey Mo Bow <---it rhymes like your HNI sig

Do you know where the MO monarch sheds were actually found. I know they came from near St. Louis.

Hole in the horn came from literally 5 minutes down the road from me.

I believe it was found on the side of the road dead in St. Louis county. I lived in the corner of St. Louis county were there is primarily farms and there were some big deer shot, but nothing like him.

I have been fortunate enough to hunt several of the western states already, and would go back to any of them in a heartbeat.

My dream hunt would be a bowhunt for coastal brown bear on Kodiak Island. 8)

Maybe not in that exact order.

Bear in Alaska. I've talked to some of the guys about this and they think I'm nuts for wanting to chase a bear with anythink less than a small cannon, much less a bow.

Some people have no sense of adventure!

Big Country when you're ready for a brown bear hunt on Kodiak let me know. I can put you in touch with a fellow I hunted with who has a very good track record on bow hunting his area (Deadman Bay)

Places where I like to bow hunt are:

Whitetails - Illinois
Elk - Colorado
Black Bear - Saskatchewan
Moose - Alaska

Come to think of it, I like to bow hunt just about everywhere.

Gator, let me go look under the mattress............OK, just as I feared! No 10K under there. :(

Tell ya what, you pay my way to Kodiak Island...I`ll give you 7 straight years in Pike county, Illinois for nuttin! 8)

Seriously, I cannot see me parting with that much cash real soon, but then again...I ain`t getting any younger.

Gonna have to make a decision in the near future.

BTW, how did you do there? Include pictures!!! :P :P

I hear ya. This money thing is getting out of hand. Although my hunt took place a number of years ago my outfitter is still doing an excellent job for his hunters. Actually, my hunt was with rifle but I was within bow range of a couple of nine foot plus bears. The one I took was 10'2" and made B.&C. I saw 31 bears with three being 10' or better. An awesome area. One of the largest was at 35 yards but never gave me a clear shot, talk about an adrenaline rush.

I am giving serious thought to another brown bear hunt (bow this time) but elsewhere.

Back then cost was about one half of what it cost today. :?

I'll see about scanning a couple of the pictures and post 'em.

Kansas...for Whitetail.
Florida...for Hogs and bikinis.*
Maine...for Bear.
Alaska..for Caribou (and fishing).

I'd really like to hunt the 140 acres across the road, but my anti-hunting neighbor won't let anyone on it..*
I've seem some nice deer standing along the field edges over there.
