I'm getting on the web site also. Hmmmm. Don't know.

I know that a week or so ago they had a bad storm (haha) that knocked out their computer, phones and everything. Maybe they're not up totally yet. Then again, it is Bow Season too and them boys DO hunt!

I'm here guys....sorry it wasn't earlier...but doctors appointments kept me away this morning...

As always...anyone can PM me or e-mail me at techsupport@stormarchery.com or at lterry_storm@yahoo.com with questions regarding Storm bows or post them up here. You may want to put in the subject line something referencing your problem so it doesn't go to the junk mail box.

We did have a storm that knocked out my phones, computers, and securty system. Just about anything that was on the phone lines. I have now gotten all the problems fixed with the wiring here.

I'll get the answer regarding the phone as soon as I can contact one of the owners.

Thank you for replying. I sent you an email at techsupport@stormarchery.com. Sorry about your luck with the storm. I can relate to the problems they can cause. If you use a UPS for your computers (not a surge protector)it will protect them from power surges, brownouts, and depending upon how big of one you get, it will power your systems long enough for you to shut them down without hurting them.

Ditto for the UPS's Londa. I've got them on the computer and the DishTV/Stereo recievers. They're also called Battery BackUps. Way better than surge protectors! Biggest thing that kills computers aren't surges usually, but power sags where your 110 volts goes down to 85-90 volts. Hard drives don't like that at all! The battery part keeps it level for the few seconds it takes to recover and will keep your computer up in case of total power loss long enough for you to save work and shut down correctly... about 10-15 minutes.

Scott.

I have a battery backup on my computer...I think this was more of a strike on the phone lines....although we had the storm...we only lost electricity for a few seconds. Whatever it was...it did a number on me. Could I have this backup hooked up wrong?

No, probably not. It's unusual to get a spike on the phone lines. Most UPS's have inputs for filtering the phone and ethernet lines. Make sure you use them, though I also understand that you can't do that if you get DSL for you internet hookup. Sometimes it doesn't matter how prepared you are... you're gonna get it!

Yep, I know where you can get a D-Loop Plier :D

You can call Viper Archery and order them..but they are shipping in the order that they have received the orders. If you want it sooner...Lancaster Archery had 300 in stock last Monday and Bowhunters Superstore in PA had 400 in stock from what I have been told. :D
