Thought I would get this started on how everybody did this year so far. I have tagged a turkey and a 8 pointer with my bow so far.

Great Shooting man...

I took a doe with the bow, and our rifle season just came in last Monday. We are in the process of thinning out the herd (we took six does) and 3 bucks... one 11 pointer...

...MidMoArchery...I've not scored yet in either season, my son Tyler and one of his buddies have taken 3 does so far and a "raghorn"...2 were from archery season and 1 from gun season

...we too are starting to practice "herd management"...

...I see tons of deer and turkey all year long...but the stand I sit in during the fall season usually has tires and a motor strapped to it and rather than being in or along the fields...goes back and forth in the field!! ...

Didn't get a chance to put myself in for anything. I was too preoccupied with getting 2 of my 3 sons ready for their first bowhunt.

I'll be ready next year.

Still no luck on deer this season. Finally decided to take a shot at a respectable tall 10 pointer a couple of weeks ago, but the small branch 10 feet in front of the buck deflected my arrow low and towards his ... uh... let's just say it shaved his privates. One of the neighbors tagged it during the gun season last week. Said it had small cut just in front of his thingie.

I have passed up some small bucks and a couple of questionable ones, I am holding off till this coming weekend to hit it hard in late archery here in Indiana, I am after one paticular buck I posted a trail pic of him and he is still alive I had him at 30 yards this morning but he would not give me a clear shot.
Congrats to everyone here who has harvested a deer, every deer is a trophy.

Nice buck there Buckeye.
I havent connected with the bow yet. I belong to a club here in VA and I did get a near perfect 18" 8pt opening day of gun season. 45 yards open field with 00's from the Benelli. That was over 2 weeks ago and if I'd have killed him with the bow I'd still be shaking.

Hey Buckeye..., hee hee, you're crazy if you think I'd release one "THAT BIG".
That dude must have gone 15+ lbs. The only problem with it is that, uh, uh, ahmmmm,....I didn't catch it. I have to admit that the Avatar is a classic "cut and paste" Joe face on someone elses pic.
My biggest one to date is just a little over 8 lbs.

Took a doe early on in October and November 14th I took a big bodied 8 pointer with my bow. Have one more antlerless deer tag and gun season is in, might try my luck this week with the 870.

Still looking for my first deer of the season. They seem to be extra smart this year. Always a trail off. :x

I have only killed an 8 pointer early in bow season. I haven't been seeing a lot of deer this year. I let a 4 pointer walk a couple of days in a row other than that I haven't seen much. Looking to score on a doe or a real big one.

I have seen a bunch, the only problem is they have been just out of bow range! :(

I know that feeling all to well!!! I see a bunch of turkeys and deer while I am at work! The only problem is I cannot shoot them! I think that property owners in the neighborhood would get a little upset with me!!! :D

A great year so far. This spring, I filled all my turkey tags and took my last Tom with my bow. A nice 10+ inch beard. I have shot 3 bucks so far. A 140s class Kansas 8 point, a 140 inch Oklahoma 8 point, and a 130 inch Oklahoma 10 point. Yep, I have had a great year. The good Lord has smiled on this Okie. :D :D :D :D

I had a rough year so far with a bow. I took the gun out this weekend and shot this deer well within bow range! I might not be smart enough to post a pic
