I have a camtrakker which has always worked great and takes awesome pics, but I'm thinking of getting a digital one this year. Anyone have any suggestions or comments on this subject? I was leaning toward a leaf river since they have the view finder in the back to view your pics, but a friend of mine didn't like his. What about the cuddeback? Anyone have and experience with them?

The boys at the local taxidermy shop have two dig camera's and they say the cuddeback takes the best pics . They have two sets of batteries and memory sticks . When they check their cameras they pull the sticks and replace the batteries . They have hundreds of pics over the last 3 years .

Thanks Bob!! Vics carries those so I'll probably have to pick one up.

I have the Recon Talon cameras IR flash, digital. I have had issues with them but the more I read they all have their quirks. I'm getting ready to put them out soon to see how they do for me this year. Two worked great last year and one gave me trouble. Recon ended up replacing the one and it's worked good on my jobsites. I have heard good reports and bad on both Leaf River and Cuddebak. I sure wouldn't go with Moultrie.

Tex what is it you don't like about the Moultrie camera's. I have one and it seems to work pretty well. The pictures I posted on here were taken with it. I would say they probably aren't your best choice if you are trying to get a deer just walking down a trail. I always use mine in combo with my feeder or a mineral block and seem to get pretty good pictures. It seems to work better when the temp isn't so hot, but the guy at Moultrie told me that was do to the sensor being triggered by heat and it doesn't notice a difference when it is so hot. The best thing about them for me is they fit my budget.

Homer I've heard many bad reports on the Moultries. I'm glad you've had good luck with yours.
