Mine should be here this week...but with x-mas delivery times I am guessing I won't see them until next week.* :icon_rolleyes:

Heard the Gold Tip 30x was very stiff needed 200grs. in the front to group. Will be interested to see if they can be shot for 3-D. The x-cutter pro may still be the way to go.

I have received my about two weeks ago. I started with 30 inch shaft with 250 grains with 5 inch feathers. Than I tested the 30 x's with 4 inch durvanes with 150 grains in the nose. I seem to pick up a few more baby x's with the faster arrows. Both arrows flew great. They are awesome!

I haven't gotten mine yet, but from what I'm hearing, shooters are getting a pleasant surprise by NOT having to put so much weight up front....I've been told that even with my low poundage that I should be just fine with a 29" shaft and 150 grains in the nose....WAY LESS than what I can do with my 2613 aluminums....and saving myself 60 grains in just the shafts alone!
Hope they get here soon.......

* Any ways* when talking apples to apples do the same spine values between the gold tips and aluminum shafts behave the same when shot?* * *Ken

I don't think so and I think Tim Gillingham agrees in my conversations with him. In my opinion carbon reacts in a complete different manner and I have found super stiff carbons to tune and group much easier than aluminums. I have also found for me that greatly changing the tip weight in carbons does not yield as much of a dynamic spine change as it does in aluminum arrows.

left mine full length (32") w/ 150 grn. nibs. With NO adjustments, bareshaft perfect holes to 20 feet. I can live with that ! :D

I just set mine up last night. 31" and 170gr tip and magnocks. I used 170 more for FOC than anything. I have never used magnocks so I am intoducing 2 varianbles at once. Maybe not the best thing but what the heck. Anyway after about 30 shots everything was hitting the 10's on the vegas face. So right now I am very pleased. If I post a 300 60X tonight for the ASA league then I would call these new shafts a winner. Not that they aren't already.
