Since I'm new to all this, I have a question. What choice of broadhead do most of you use for deer hunting?

I have shot Rocket Ultimate steels for the last several years and have had great luck with them. this year i will be using Rocket Ultimate titaniums and think I am going to have great luck with them.
What is your bow and arrow setup?

I'm shooting a Mathews SQ2, 70# with CX300 arrows. Might switch to the Switchback soon.

Ok, I just thought I would ask...
You will have plenty of Kinetic Energy with that setup. Depending on what state you are hunting and wether mechanical broadheads are legal there or not. The rocket Steel heads are also a great broadhead.

I have been shooting the Montec G5s straight out of the pack for the last 3 seasons. No additional sharpening. They are excellent. I did buy some Slick Tricks late season last year and will try them this year because of photos I've seen of the massive holes they put in the animal. I will not abandon the Montecs though.
See the Montec damage. http://www.archerysite.net/smf/index.php?topic=3885.0

Slick Tricks, they will fly like feel points out of your SQ2. I use them with my Switchback and they fly better than anything I've ever used.

I gotta disagree with ya my man. I've used the mechanicals for the past 5 years or so and dead is dead in my book........ :new_snipersmilie: :new_snipersmilie: :new_snipersmilie: I use the Gold Tip Gladiator 100 grns on the GT 3555 camo shaft out of my old MQ1 at 54 lbs. Man what a setup, it's worked on deer, turkeys and numerous hogs :new_2gunsfiring_v1: :new_2gunsfiring_v1: :new_2gunsfiring_v1: :occasion14: :occasion14: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: best setup you can have. Ive used alot of broad heads over the years: Muzzy,Thunderheads, Razorbacs,Snipers...etc! My own personal opinion...... SLICK TRICK broadheads get the nod! Ive taken several deer with these broadheads and I cant believe the hole that they cut! At first look they look rather small on your arrow but dont be fooled by this! The 4 blades really open the deer up like a can opener! The blood trail is AWESOME!! I always try things for myself because I like to form my own opinion thru expierance! Slick Tricks are sharper this year because they have a new blade manufacturer!! If your bow is tuned properly try the slick tricks and I promise you wont regret it! I shoot ACC arrows with a 1 1/8" 100 grain slick trick thru a Mathews Outback (70 lbs) ....... My $.02!! :D

I know that the Slick Trick's sure have a following down heere nowadays. It's almost reaching "cult" status! And both for the field point accuracy and the blood letting capability. Pretty impressive no matter how you cut it! (pun intended! :D )
