Friday afternoon marked yardage

Open class: Festus, Arkysaw, Mobuck 104 $25 per person payback
Pin class: Tyler Radewald....son of DD 94 $70 payback

Saturday afternoon marked yardage

Open: BowtechEd, Weezl, ???? 110 $27 per person payback
Pin class: Mrs. Carrie Jonas 105 $80 payback

Mrs. Carrie Jonas shot the 105. Her longest sight pin was 40 yards.....kinda tough on a 56 yd target Good job.

I apologize for not having the third gentleman's name on the Sat. open score. If anyone know's his name or he reads this....please speak up.

Hope everyone had a great time. There seemed to be a few growing pains this year. I am sure that the Green Hills Archers will do all they can to accomodate this shoot and the needs of the shooters.

It was nice to meet a lot of our online friends. I did not get to visit with as many of you as I would have liked, but I enjoyed everyone that I met. Wish I would have known everyone's online name.......any suggestions????? Maybe a designated "Meet and Greet" hour next year?????

Along with the awesome score that Mrs. Carrie Jonas posted; I did get to see a bit of her shooting... Wow!; another notable if I'm correct on this Arky, is that of one of the Friday Open Class tie winners. I believe that Festus shot that with a barebow Recurve! I would have really enjoyed watching that! DD said it was really something to watch that arrow arc up like 12 to 15 feet before dropping in to thump foam on that 56 yard target!

The online name thing is a hard one. I wore my name tag, albiet sideways, Friday and Saturday so that folks could know me and if they wanted to, talk about ASN and get any question they might have wanted, answered by one of the staff. Of course the tags are totally optional, but many folks commented that some kind of name tag, maybe a simple stickon type would have helped things immeasurably. Maybe that would do it! I know I talked with many that I had no idea who they were other than just nice folks and the name just didn't come up in the flow of things. The meet/greet hour would be nice if only everyone got there around the same time. After that, it started becoming a busy, jumbled fun time which made introductions difficult at best while not being a pest and breaking up other's conversations.

There's a solution somewhere... and we've got 361 days to figure it out!

Razz.....Festus shoots both very well, but the sims score was shot with a compound. He talked about getting the stick and string out, but I didn't push it.......I didn't want to be beat by the recurve :)

I wish I knew the name of the gentleman who tied in the open class on Sat. :(

Thanks for the clarification Arky. I knew he'd shot it at least once with the recurve. Musta been Friday. Sure sounds like he can wail with any bow! And in the woods too!

Glad these scores got posted up... now I can put some screen names with the real names! If we could just get photos to go with it all now....

Yea, I know Skeater. A while back, we had a major hard drive crash and lost nearly everything. We had to reload an old version of the database and lost a lot of posts and all the photos. I went back to a couple of threads and uploaded all that I could, but the old photos are all gone. We needs to refill them all out again with new pics!
