Bowhunting Missouri

Living in KC area and looking for someplace good to bow hunt this year, can anyone give me any ideas on where to go that isn't crowded with city folks?

One of the best public bowhunting spots is Yellow Creek wildlife area , sets just off Swan Lake national wildlife area . Primitive camping and some big deer , about 120 miles from KC . Just one question ! :D Are you city folk ? :D

I like to think not, originally from small town in MI. Got stuck in MO about 6 years ago, bow hunted first time since the 70's two years ago, baged two doe. Didn't go last year, too busy, have a Mathews SQ2 this year, parcticing dilligently for the upcoming season. Thanks for the info, now I have to find out where that is.

Its about two miles south of Sumner ( Goose Capitol of the World ) or About 9 miles south of Pershing Park , Home of the World famous Braggin Rights Shoot , better known as the BRS !! :D

Wayne Helton Wildlife Area is a good place to bowhunt if your willing to walk off the beaten path a little ways. Here's a link to it...
