Looks like the deer suffered tremendously I hope not but that is a shame at any rate.

What does it look like to all of you? On AT they were debating whether it was a muley or whitetail. Most thought it was a muley I think it looks like a whitetail.

I vote Muley, i don't think whitetails are dumb enough to fall in holes :lol:

I vote Muley also, but can't be certain.
I'm like 80% Muley, 20% Whitetail on this one.

Another possibility is a combination of the two. In areas where muleys and whitetails over lap they are know to cross breed. Some say this is the reason muleys numbers are declining due to a whitetail buck being more aggressive with his breeding pattern.

just by the splitting of the g-2s on both sides i would go with mule deer...i could be wrong though...

My two cents worth is for a muley......It looks to me that the rack is outside of what is left of the ears, and I know whitetails racks stay inside the ears......at least that was what I was always told.* It's a great picture though, but you know that animal what ever it was DID suffer badly.
Ditto, I think it's a muley too. But not a really big one, I doubt it would make P&Y.

I say Muley as well and I wonder just how many Coyotes sat there and thought...How could I get a taste of that??
