That's sweet! The family that shoots together, stays together! The LX's are nice bows. You shouldn't have any problem selling it.

that was sweet but believe me just starting to shoot, i have been called a wimp many times. because of the weight set on my bow. plus my oldest son got a genisis pro so yes i guess it is a family affair.

If it's too hard pulling that new bow, have them back off the limbs to where it's not a struggle to pull it back. Many folks start off bowed to heavily and it's not good for your joints either. When you've been doing it for a while and build up the strength, you can bump it up a few pounds at a time if you want to... or leave it where it's comfortable and enjoy shooting rather than struggling.

We also have a special section for the Lady Shooters. Stop in and ask all the questions you want to. Expect to see replies from "lterry". She's been shooting forever and is loads of help to everyone, but she'll know exactly what tips YOU need! You can also find her in the Storm Archery Tech forum where she's the Moderator there. She's a wonderful sweetie and like I said, knows her stuff!

gate9971 ...

I second the motion from Tejas Raz....Welcome to ASN...

TR ... ther ya go again :icon_redface: and tellin how "OLD" I am.....

On the brighter side of all this...TR is right...if your having a hard time pulling the bow...lower the poundage some till it is comfortable for you. As for being called a "wimp"...we may not be as big or as strong as some of our counterparts....but we can make up for that by learning to be accurate at judging yardage and having good placement on our shots...remember that having a consistant anchor point and good form and follow through will make your shot placement more accurate. :D

Lower poundage and shorter draw lengths means we have less speed. We just have to work harder than our counterparts in order to compete against them. They can be off on yardage and still carry the score on a target...but if we are off sometimes just by a yard it can be the difference between a kill verses a body hit.

So...if you are really into archery and want to become competitive just work on shot placement and judging your yardage....everything else will fall into place. Most of all enjoy shooting! :D
