I'm thinking of a new Ultratec for shootin' foam this year. What to you guys think about the different cam options? Grip options?
Javi?.........

TexHunter, we need some more info before making good suggestions for your new 3-D rig.
What is your drawlength?
What speed will you be satisfied with?
Which limbs do you prefer?.......for 3-D, you are not going to get away with any more than XT3000`s unless you have a 33" drawlength!
As far as grips?........That will be a totally personal thing there.
As nice as the Hoyt sideplates have been in recent years....I still take the grip completely off before I fire a new bow. A little bit of tennis racquet grip wrap(one layer) and I am ready for business.

BC, I'm a 29" draw length. I prefer the XT2000 limbs. Want to shoot 50# bow maxed. I'm not necessarily concerned with speed. Plan to use some the GT arrows, probably the X-Cutter pros.

TH, an UltraTec with XT2000 limbs and regular cam.5 at your drawlength should produce arrow speeds in the 295fps range at 5 gr/per lb.
The reason I bring speed into this is....I assumed since you said you would be shooting "foam" you meant 3-D`s.
You don`t need 300fps to do that, but to give yourself a fair chance...you need to get into the 280+ range.
I personally like the regular cam.5 system over the spirals, but some guys prefer the spirals. If you are not looking for maximum speed, I think the regular cam.5 is the way to go.
Good luck! 8)

Thanks BigCountry. Yes I do mean 3D. From what I have read on the Versa Cam.5 it is more of a cam to provide more draw length adjustment. Any views on this cam as far as performance?

TexHunter, the Versacam.5 is a new offering for 2005.
It is a cam designed for extreme drawlength adjustment for young/growing archers.
It is only available on certain models.........not available on UltraTec`s.
