Poor Michigan Season

Did any other Michigan hunteres experience as poor a season as I did? In 25 years of hunting, I have never had a worse season. I didn't even SEE a deer during gun season and very few at other times.

I had a great season. 2 deer with a bow and let alot walk during gun season including some nice bucks. I shot 2 deer in Missouri so I didnt even fire a shot in Michigan during gun season. I saw alot of deer this year it must be the areas we are hunting.

I was in the NE Lower around Rogers City. Whereabouts were you 281x?

I shot two bucks this season but I only seen a half dozen bucks all together... so I would agree it was a pretty crappy year!!! :undecided:

I heard that the DNR is going to raise the license fees again next year. They didn't sell as many licenses as they had hopped. :rolleyes:Here's an idea maybe we should get some real herd management and instead of just killing them off.... :rolleyes:Maybe if people seen more deer... more quality deer more people would go hunting. Then instead of killing of the deer heard and having less hunters who have to pay more to less deer.... we could actually have more hunters having quality seasons and more hunters putting money into Michigans economy and into habitat!
