Well after four days of hunting and 1 blown opportunity. I finally scored this morning.

What a morning it was.. I arrived approx. 5:30am to my blind, quickly set up my decoys and got into my blind. I had doubts this morning; it was another chilly morning so I wasn't expecting any action.

Well to my supprise while getting ready inside my blind I heard a gobble. Then another and another and each one was closer. They were gobblin from there roast..which turned out I was right in the middle of
When fly down time came, I was getting dive bombed and over run with turkey. I was an awesome sight to see; they were literally landing 3ft from my blind. And the birds were all keyed up, calling, cackling all over.

The Toms almost hit the ground in strut! So after a few minutestwonice Toms came struting on over to my decoys. They hung out for a bit and then one of them decided to follow the hens. I did some soft callin and purrin and kept the other Tom close.

He strutted in to 10 yards and i said "this is it"! I drew my bow, achored and thought to myself shot him in his head. I did not want any more missed opportunities.
So thats exactly what I did..10 yards strutting at a slight quatering to angle. I took aim, took a breathe to calm down and then let'er fly. WHACK!!!! Right in his head..dropped like a sack of potatos!

15lbs (kinda skinny:wink: )
9 1/8 inch beards
3/4 inch spurs

What a awesome morning in the woods! This had to have been my best turkey hunt yet.
