How to serve?

Here's a couple SB1shooter........but the way I like to do it best is, using half knots, I tie half knots on each side of the string until around 3/16" to a 1/4" long, then finish tyeing a full knot, cut and burn the ends back.......... this way you can slide the knots up or down the string to adjust peep rotation and height..........then after I have everything where I want it, I tie the peep sight in also.
Remember to keep each half knot good and tight as you go...........WR

Another tiny detail: when you tie in the peep, try and tie upper serving knots to the lower ones. That way, you keep them from creeping apart, and also block the peep's natural tendency to creep up the bowstring. When you need to adjust the peep position, this will present no problem; just do it in the "inchworm manner"...

SB1....... your trying to hard buddy....... it's really very easy once you do it a couple of times........ we need some hands on pics of center serving and peep tying ........ things we can do ourselves and save a trip to the pro shop........ not to mention, someone might need help out on the range sometime.
Lets get us a fix things thread going before long........ I'll bet we can get some good helpful tips from it............. WR

Yea, a "Fix it" thread would be nice to have. I know for me this kinda stuff is really helpful. I'm greener than the Joly Green Giant when it comes to archery and places like this are how I'm learning. I'll mess around with the serving thing some more and maybe I'll get down.

Na, you don't want to do that. Just keep practicing, you will get it. It took me a few times to get it down, and the second picture that is there I still cant get right, using the server. I always pull slack and cut it. But that leaves a lot of waste.
