Any experiences with a hog hunt outfitter around the midwest?? Missouri maybe?? Would like to sneak one in before the bow season here in Illinois if possible.

I know some good ones in Oklahoma if you want to go there. Texas has a bunch of good ones too.

Cedar Ridge Farms (http://www.cedarridgehunting.com/home.htm) in Fayette, Missouri.

Great place, great people!

Tough hunting conditions. Relatively small....~400 acres. Thick Cedars and brush, bulldozed brush piles, a couple of ponds, one lake, a 3 acre bog, and some open fields, hills and valley's.
Lots of stands throughout. ..... climbers, ladder stands, strap on stands etc. Good comfy, lodge with tons of wildlife mounts. Kinda out in the boonies though. About a 15-20 minute drive to the nearest civilization. :D

My hunting party mostly stalked...but I just couldn't get close enough with the bow for a shot. Ended up taking one from a stand at dark with my 30.06. Hogs are mostly nocturnal with your best chances coming at daybreak and late evening. Stay out after dark if you've got the b_ _ _ _, uh...courage! I have to say that my 1st hunt there was the most challenging and demanding hunt I've ever been on. Enjoyed it immensely! The are definately "Wild Boars", imported from Canada.
