Hello,
When I purchased my compound by 1989, it was factory set at about 30". Since I had no access to a bow press, I've used it like that for years.
Nowadays, with a super duper Bowmaster :) and after reading lots of threads in AT about too long a draw beeing bad, I reduced the draw to 29".
It was a complete disaster, so back I went to 30".
Yesterday I was thinking about my inconstant groups, and one of the reasons I knew was that sometimes I could really feel the fingers on my jaw, sometimes just a bit (I shoot olympic style but with 2 fingers under)..
So I decided to lenghten the draw to 31 and see how it goes.
With 31", there is beyond any doubt a defined anchor, and today my groups have been much better - 2 cut vanes, one damaged arrow...
Conclusion - what is good for release shooters may not apply to fingers! 8)
