http://Wendy White a Texas Lady Guide and bowhunter suffered a bad mauling by a pet wild boar at her ranch Monday Feb13 the same Day Red Dot her Operation
Wendy had bottle raised the little hog and now he has tusks and was getting mean. We was 150# Male Boar
Wendy went out where the hog was to feed or water him and for no reason he charged her head low and caught her ankle and almost bit it off.
He was able to beat him off and crawled on hands and knees back to the ranchouse. Get got a gun and killed the SOB then called 911. They took her to ER and cleaned gravel, leaves grit and dead tissue from under the skin and sewed up She was is 13 stitches but it looks like 39 to me
She was not hunting it just doing her chores. Wendy made 3 mistakes One she trusted to hog to not hurt her.
You can never trust any wild animal hog or deer as they will kill you
Second She should have pack a sidearm.
Third she was not wearing her hunting boots.
Had Wendy had boots on she on, would not have suffered so much
Wound is oozing and she is going to see a different MD today
Lets wish Wendy a speedy return

Wendy White of Center Point Texas is full time guide for Big game. On Feb 13 the same day Red Dot had her Operation Wendy White was attacked by pet wild boar she had bottled raised to be a STUD Boar. board.
Wendy went into the same pasture he was in and he started snarling and popping his tush. Then without warned he attacked her bitting her ankle and almost taking her foot off.
Wendy bear him off was she is larger than he was and crawled on hands & knees back to her ranchouse where get shot a gun and killed the SOB
He was a 150# Hog. She called 911 and they took her to ER and cleaned out the leaves gravel and dead tissue and sewed her up. Today the wound is oozing and she is going to another MD
Wendy made three mistakes that day
1. She should not have gone into a game pasture with some sort of sidearm or a knife.
# 2 She make the error of trusting hog. Never trust any animal deer hog dog as they will someday turn on you and kill you. Wendy was lucky to still have b both feet,
# 3 Wendy didn't bother to put on her hunting boots Had she snake boots or hunting boots she would be better off today.
Dont let any one tell you a 100 or 150# Hog ain't no trophy
This boar almost got his own Momma
Lets all pray for Wendy to recover and keep her body going so she can hunt some more

Wendy is Red Dots Buddy BTW

Boy that's a pretty nasty cut Tink. Hope Wendy gets better real soon.
I won't go into any of my pastures without a side arm at least. We have too many hogs around here. Wild animals are exactly that, WILD!

Yousa! Mean looking wound there! Glad she's still in one piece though.
I keep thinking on a pair of snake boots, this makes me think even more about them!
Ditto about the weapon! I've always got a folder on the belt, but bigger is often better as this proves. A nice coffin Bowie would have been nice along with a cocked and locked .45!

Yep Snake boots would solve a lot of problems Dot got hers Bass Pro Kids Dept
Ladies boots didn't fit or were too large
If Wendy would have had a .22RF or a .22 mag she would not have come to grief
I guided for hog in VA year ago and the farmer carried .22 Mag and that in the head or neck drops them
However GI .45 Cal Ball Ammo is worthless
I saw a guy shoot a 150# hog sideways with 7 rounds of Army Issue Ball .45 ACP body cavity sideway and it took it 3 days to find him.
Red Dot has new found respect for the hogs choppers after seeing the nasty wound.
Hell A Spyder Folder is better than a dumb rock.
Glad to have you agree

I'm not much of a Hardball fan either. Shoot lots of lead Semi Wadcutters and for serious, Federal Hydra-Shocks or Remington Golden Sabre hollowpoints. Much better! As for the boots, Sasquatch size is much closer! :D

Good to hear Tink.
We've had gray skies for almost a week now. Rainy, drizzly! Staying wet but not getting any real moisture accumulation we can use.

Mostly drizzley, foggy like Bill said. Been that way since Saturday. Showers are possible they say through Friday.
I bought one of those Bow Fit tube thingy trainers too to help strengthen my shoulder too, plus they gave me some stretchy rubber strapping to use in all different ways. It'll work! Slow though.

Same up heere too Tink. Rain started early afternoon yesterday and gradually increased from a drizzle up to a long, stead shower all night, this morning and looks like it's tapering off now. Lots of good water for mother earth! We need it!
