Has any dealers got their shipment of Switchbacks in yet?
I have heard mid-week this week. Which is tomorrow. I need to go by the shop and look at my next bow purchase.

my dealer told me anytime now..... probly this week...... but have not seen one yet..... i bet this bow beats the outback in sales...... my dealer was told by the mathews rep fast as an lx.... short as an outback.... smoother than either......

A certain Pro - Staffer for Mathews that I pal around with a good bit (imagine that ) says that this bow is THE hunting bow for '05 from Mathews.
I'm also told that he'll probably shoot it as opposed to the LX that's brought down so many critters for him for the past couple of years......
It certainly must be impressive for him to be ready to make the jump. 8)

Monte,
Are you talking about me or the other Mathews pro you pal around with? :D
Seriously, I'll be going by the shop today to see if it has come in.

They are coming out with the Apex (41") but it's a pure target bow. You can't get it in camo, but it comes in 14 other colors and retails for a cool $1500.00

Holy Shazbot!!! Homey don't think so at that price. But it's probably like with the Martin Slayr. Skip's got a couple for sale in the classifieds for considerably less now and that one started out $$$.

Yeah, and if you wait a couple of months there will be some Mathews Pros with Apex for sale at half price too. That's the great thing about the Pro sponsorship programs. They make great bows available to the general public at an afordable price :D

If you can get an Apex for half price it will be what most bows retail for.

I believe the switchback will take the place of all the mathews bows when it comes to hunting. Heard it was smooth to shoot as far as no recoil at all, a little tough to let down don't understand that but read it on the other forum. Mathews still has some more bows to come out with two more new ones I heard.
I shot a new switchback at the shop yesterday and I will certainly be adding one to my order in the next month or so.
The bow was absolutely neutral after the shot, with no recoil or hand shock felt...
The cam is somewhat tri-oval shaped, not like what I had imagined from the photos (I thought it was round like my Icon)...
All in all I would say that this is the shooter for 2005, and will make an awesome hunting rig...

Yep,
I got to hold my dealers Switchback two days ago.
It was sweet.
The balance of the bow felt great, even without a stabilizer.
