My buddies deer

This is a pic of my buddies deer we couldnt find until 2 weeks later we searched hi and low and the farmer found it just 50 yards from where we stopped, there was a great blood trail for 100 yards and then it just quit we circled and circled but to no avail we did not find it, we cut the antlers off before the pic but look at the entrance and exit holes and give me your opinion on the shot placement.

If my eyes are seeing what I think are the entrance and exit, they look good. Bottom one plug up from clots?

The biggest deer I ever killed with a bow was a perfect shot, but it never bleed a drop. Fat clogged up the exit hole. I just listened and heard where it crashed and walked right to it. I backtracked to find my broadhead, but couldn't find a blood trail anywhere. :(

The top pic is the entrance hole and bottom pic is the exit hole, We tracked this deer for around 600 yards before loosing blood then we circled and came up empty handed, the farmer found it, and gave us the antlers and took us to where it was and we were 50 yards away from it and did'nt find it. It was depressing :(

It looks like he was quartering towered you... If so that is a tough shot because unless you hit the front shoulder a lot of times you will only get one lung! I have had deer go at least that far on a one lung hit!

That's always a bummer... :(

That's too bad, the shot looked good but like it has been said they don't always bleed good.

looks like it was a good shot. Sometimes no matter the shot, they just don't bleed that well.
