We're done! :(
Strange season this year. We had good success thinning a few does as most of you know but the bucks that are usually plentiful were scarce as we moved into November and weren't seen alot during archery season in October. Our weather played a big roll in not allowing the food plots to grow as they should, extremely dry this fall. I didn't get rain on the oats, wheat and clover for one month after the seed was down. :( Saw a nice 8 point yesterday morning but wasn't hunting. He will be a good one next year. I'm not aware of but one buck being taken around us so we should have several nice bucks next year. I did get to sit a stand with my granddaughter which was great.
My attitude............GREAT! Have alot to look forward to next season knowing we didn't put a dent in the doe numbers (not necessarily good, we can't do it all ourselves) and know there will be some good bucks running around. :D
