Deer seasons, describe your state's.

We basically have two seasons here in Texas. Archery which runs through the month of October and is generally still warm most of the time. General season, November through December, is when the firearms come out but you can hunt with any legal weapon. We continue to use archery equipment. On a county by county basis there is a muzzleloader season but it is limited from what I can tell.

How about other states. Gun only seasons, etc?

New Hampshire:

Archery- September 15th- December 15th

Muzzleloader- Oct 29th- Nov 8th

Firearm-Nov 9th - Dec 4th

We can hunt thru the entire season with a bow. You can also use your firearm deer tag as an additional deer tag with a bow, if taken during the gun season.

You need to purchase an additional permit to use a crossbow, a crossbow may only be used during the firearm season..
If You take a deer with a muzzleloader , that counts as your firearm deer.

You may hunt with a bow during firearms season but you have to purchase a firearms tag .
