I was at Gander Mt. yesterday and was looking at their line of Storm bows since they were on sale. *I picked up an F-16 and it was marked down to $199.99. *I was going to buy it since it was so cheap. *Well, after looking it over I noticed fracture lines in the riser. *It definitely was not scratches or cracks in the camo dip. *The riser was actually cracking. *Anyway I put that one down and noticed they had another *f-16 so I picked that one up and all looked well until I looked at the mounting holes for the sights. *They were stripped about for about the first 1/4 inch. *To say the least, I was a little disappointed. *For $200 it would have made a nice back-up bow. *Are these types of problems common with the Storm line or is this the fault of Gander Mt. *If I was a bow company I certainly wouldn't want potential customers to see that type of stuff. *What would cause a riser to start cracking, especially on a new bow? *Why would a store place a bow on the rack that stripped threads? *

Wow! The only thing I can tell you about the bows at Gander Mountain is that they took the line on in 2004....didn't get them out into the stores...now they have clearance merchandise that they have to sell.
We have not been informed of any "cracked risers". I would think that a company the size of Grander Mountain had cracked risers they would have contacted us to have them replaced. As for threads being stripped...we haven't heard of that one either. Would you be so kind as to tell us which Gander Mountain Store you were in so we can contact them. We certainly would not want them to sell a customer a product that does not meet our standards.
