Anyone here shoot the Bowtech Liberty and if so what do you like and not like about the bow. Just doing some pre-purchase research. Thanks

Hillbilly:

I have a Liberty that I used this year to harvest a spike horn. I'm shooting 57 lbs., Trophy Taker rest, 26.5" draw length, Beman Matrix 460, with a 100 grain Montec head. The buck was just over 20 yards from my tree stand. The arrow made a complete pass through & the buck went approximately 60 yards before piling up. Do I like the bow - you bet!! It's great in the tree stand, quiet & it's deadly. It's a pleasure to shoot with only a little bit of recoil. It also offers you the ability to fine tune your draw length. I was always shooting 27" but with this bow, I found out I should have been shooting 26.5". The only negative thing about Bowtech (for me) is that the nearest dealer is a hour & a half away! I'm going to buy another Bowtech next spring for a back-up bow. I'll shoot the new offerings but I'll probably end up buying another Liberty. It's a great bow, try it out.

I've got a Liberty VFT.....

It's not a speed demon, but it's perhaps one of the smoothest drawing bows I've ever shot.

And fairly accurate for a short ATA bow. For most of my career I've shot bows in excess of 36" ATA so this was a new adventure for me.

After I got it set up I shot 3" groups with broadheads at 40 yards. I was very impressed.

Very solid wall. Shock free, and fairly quiet. I put on some more whistles and bells and now it's all but silent. I've been pleased with it.

As posted above, pay close attention to the tune charts and mod settings. If you over-rotate the cam then it can cause serving separation. But if you follow the rules it's a real shooter.

I really like mine. 8)
