Also in a ground blind can you often get winded even if the wind is in your favor?
Also do all ground blinds have a floor?if not is a floor better than floorless? :?:

Most ground blinds are not considered "waterproof" but water-resistant.
I know that the double bulls have something added to the fabric to repel water.
I have found that my double bull helps hold my scent in. Just like this year, I had a doe and a fawn not 6 yds. downwind of me and they never smelled a thing or were worried at all.
Some ground blinds have floors and some dont. I would recommend one that doesnt. The simple reason being that if a blind has a floor in it and you move the entire blind will move with you. If you have one that doesnt have a floor you can move as much as you want and the blind will not move at all.

We made our own blinds and they are by far the most luxurious thing I have ever bowhunted out of in my life. wall to wall carpeting shoot-threw mesh windows, completely scent proof and weather proof. We were also noticing about a 10 degree difference in temp on cold days. We constructed the walls with a product called camo-board with happens to be realtree HD. I will try to get pics........could make and sell for about 350.00 if anyone were interested the inside dim. are 4x6x6.

I use an Ameristep Penthouse blind w/o a floor. Really like it. I have never been wet in it either. Of course water still runs underneath so you cant' keep everything dry.
I don't think anyone makes a shoot-through screen that is waterproof :?

Don't have a ground blind yet but most of the big companys advertise to have water resistant ones, I am not sure but maybe Santa will bring me one this year, I have hinted enough, just wait and see I guess. Be nice for spring turkey hunting in.

I use the Ameristep Doghouse blind. I have never gotten wet in mine either, as long as you don't touch the sides when they are wet, just like anything else that is water resistant. Mine has a floor in it that zipps out if you don't want to use it. If you have a flat surface to put it on and stake it down real good it doesn't move with you that I have noticed. I usually don't use it though, just so that I know that nothing is under it that might make noise if I have to move.
Hope this helps
Jason
