Ken, right before AT went into fixit mode they were talking about them in the manufacturing section. Word on the street is that X-cutter (TimG) was using 150grain points...spine be damned :D

Both Tim and Pat (Pro1) were using 150 gr points in them at the Utah open. This is the same point weight I will be using in mine as well. I have been using 140 gr in the x cutter shafts cut at 28 3/4" currently.

They will start to trickle out to the staff shooters after the new years contracts are signed. I hope to have mine in the next couple weeks. The shafts, points, and pins are actually available now so have your local dealer order some up for you! ;) 150 gr is plenty Ken...heck I used to shoot my 2613's with 150's cut at 26 1/2" long (or should I say short)

For 3D you could probably go lighter...although the X Cutter is a little better for the 3D venue because of arrow weight. This new 30X weighs in at 10.5 grains per inch, where as the X cutter is 8 gr. per inch. I have shot x cutters with 100 grain points and they group fine out to 50 yards for 3D stuff. You could use the 30X for 3D with a 100gr point or even 50 gr point, although you nock tension on the string will make the arrow much more critical. I would guess you will see this 30X shaft more on the indoor venue and the X cutters and 22 series on the outdoor 3D venue.

Nope not me! :D I was able to play with even 50 grain points in my x cutters outdoors although they did get a little flighty in the wind past 40 yards. That's right magnocks rock! ;)

When is the IA pro am this year? It may be possible. Goldtip has the shafts...just a matter of the dealer ordering them up for you.

You know what they are using Jon.

150 seems very light, I figured 180 or 200 or 30" arrow.

I hate when manufactuers bring products out and dont have them available to all. :x
