Does anyone have any experience with these shafts and what components work well with them? Will easton uni bushings and 7% nibbs work in them, and how well do they hold up? Thanks Fellas!

The unibushings will work but the Points will not. It will leave a rim of carbon that will tear away when shooting into the target. Use the regular CX points and the Unibushings. On a side note I Use Beiter nocks in the CXL shafts. They work Great. junkie

Thanks for the fast reply! Do you have good accuracy with the beiter nocks? What glue brand do you use in those. I was told to use fletch tite in my goldtips when using beiter nocks but the fit was too loose. I didn't want to use Goat tuff because I knew I wouldn't be able rotate them if needed. Right now I'm shooting Goldtip pro 22's but I want to generate a little more speed. Thanks again!

I have been using CXL 250 for over 2 years and like them alot. They hold up well, but some have had problems. I strongly suggest using the Shrewd bushings with them over the eastons. The down side is that the Shrewds are expensive, but worth it in the end in my opinion. The Eastons go in, but they aren't very tight...a little too sloppy for my taste. If there are in crooked, you will have consistancy problems. I also use the adjustable CXL tips. There easy to change and adjust your setup.

I have great accuracy out of the Beiters. You can get the CXL beiters they fit directly into the back of the shafts. I also use the CXL protective colors(sp) they fir over the back of the arrow and then you put in the nock. It will save so many arrows it an't funny. they only weigh 4 grains. I do agree about the Shrewd Bushings. They are so much better than the Eastons because they are made for the arrows. Also Don't use any kind of fast set glue in the CXL either. I use lowtemp hotmelt or epoxy. The glue weakens the arrow a little and the ends break easier. Junkie

CXL's IMO are very good shafts I wouldn't say that they're super tough I think they have a fairly thin wall. I agree with crusher the shrewd uni's are the best. I'm not real fond of CX's adjustable points though they're a little expensive for an aluminum tip. PDP makes a variable weight point for them that is steel whick I prefer and they're a little cheaper.
