Fawns

Anyone seeing any babies around. I'm seeing several everyday now. One doe is staying around my house and I know she has a little one close. If my dogs get too close to the area when we let them out she lets them know real quick to return from where they came from. My oldest female got stomped pretty good last year by a doe because she got too close and she may be old but has a good memory.

Now that's just plain cool! The circle of life forming again and getting to watch it up close. One day soon, you'll see those fawns up and about, playing with their mother.

I've seen a couple of fawns with their mama's out on the post golf course on my way to work in the morning.

In fact I've been seeing a lot more deer than usually lately, sometimes standing right along side the road in middle of the day.

I've seen 2 sets of twins this year so far. I know our population had a big increase. Only seen one identifiable buck so far which is a little unusual.

I saw one set of fawns up in Cades Cove, they were about 10 ft from my Ranger at the time. In the field with mama and a couple other deer. There so tame there you can literally walk up to them seems they've never been hunted!
