I hear lots of good reviews on the allegiance, but what about the defender?

Anybody give it a workout yet?

I shot it last week.

Its a nice bow. If a short A to A is what you are looking for this will suit quite nicely.

It feels real similar to the mightymite VFT that I had.

I am interested in the Allegiance and old glory fro 3-D. Still waiting on them to show up at the shop

Do you think the short A-A makes it harder to draw? I do like short draw bows and its $100 cheaper. I'll have to et my hands on one and see for myself.

If it is a shorty you are looking for you will be hard pressed to find a nicer bow.
I put probably 30 to 40 shots through it getting a feel for the new cam system.

You will like :D

The limb bezels have changed and the limb tips behind the axle holes are reinforced. The new wheel design is........well........to simple
So much clearance and no split cable. The wall is simply unbelievable, one draw stop on the top and when it stops you can't make either the top or bottom move. Drawing the bow for the first time is a big surprise because it's not like anything you've drawn before unless you shoot a recurve and then it's still different. It's like your drawing a bow that has no let off and when your starting to think oh no, it starts dropping off nice and smooth and if you creep it doesn't jerk your shoulder out of socket. The bow is 28" and 70lbs, the BC says 305 IBO

Shot the bow....................WOW........REAL smooth with a release and not trying to draw real slow. 353gr 70lb 28" draw 304fps
Turned bow down to 65lbs shot a 327gr arrow at 302
Turned the bow down again to 60lbs shot a 301gr arrow at 300

I got to shoot it this past weekend. Everything mr. crackers said I will back up. It's an awesome bow that "feels" much longer than 31.5 ata. I felt the draw was very slightly more harsh than my x-tec, but not much.
I want to shoot the others, but at this point I REALLY want one ! :D :P 8)
