Mail call in my office..... 12:05 p.m. EST (Eastern SPECTRE Time ).....
Same old stuff: Bills, Invitations for Trophy Hunts, Invitations to speak at seminars, etc.
But at the very bottom of the stack..... a red envelope. With an APO postmark. What could this be? Looks like a Christmas card
I open the envelope.... and what to my wondering eyes does appear? It is! A Christmas Card, from FOB Cuervo! I open the card and read it slowly.
A very moving card indeed. Hand signed with a small note from members of the Baghdad Archery Club. A very moving experience. To think that these guys took the time to write something personal to me, when the time could've been spent writing home to their families, means an awful lot to me. I'm proud and honored to receive such a gift, the gift of time.
I've found that Time is the most valuable commodity on the face of the earth. It can be given...... but not bought. There is not a predetermined amount, and could be gone in the twinkling of an eye.
A very heart felt "Thank You" to my brothers at FOB Cuervo. The time given will not be taken for granted.
And just so the rest of you know that SPECTRE is for real........ Look what they were kind enough to include.... I would love to shoot a vegas face heere........
