Hello!

My name is Jenny Green. I am the Staff Coordinator for Kamp Kohut in Oxford, Maine, USA. Below is some basic information about our program. If you prefer, please do not hesitate to contact me by telephone (1-888-GO-KOHUT) or by email (jenny@kampkohut.com) at any time. You may also visit our web site at www.kampkohut.com for more information.

Kamp Kohut is a traditional, residential summer camp for children ages 7 – 16. We offer a wide range of activities (from water sports to adventure courses to land sports to creative & performing arts to media) and are looking to hire DYNAMIC and ENTHUSIASTIC staff to instruct in these activities. When it comes to the perfect setting for a great summer camping experience, all roads lead to Maine, but only one road lead to Kamp Kohut. Surrounded by spectacular Lake Thompson, Kamp Kohut occupies a world of its own. Rich with the finest Maine camping traditions, our two four-week programs promote unity and camp spirit, as well as self-expression and growth.

Benefits of employment include making wonderful friends, gaining teaching experience, a competitive salary, travel allowance, health insurance, room, board, free laundry, internships and excellent time off. With transportation available, there are also many opportunities to get out and explore the beautiful state of Maine.

If this experience sounds like what you are looking for, please get in touch immediately! Most positions are filled by the mid-February – that’s just a little over two months from now!! We’d hate to see you miss out on this amazing experience! To stand out above the other applicants, please go to www.kampkohut.com and fill out the on-line staff application. This will give us more information about you and increase your chances for securing employment with one of the top camps in the nation.

Please note that you must be at least 19 years of age and/or have one year of college experience before June 1, 2005. All overseas/foreign applicants should go through an organization called BUNAC to begin applying for a work visa. You can contact BUNAC through their web site at www.bunac.org. All Canadian applicants can apply directly to Kamp Kohut at www.kampkohut.com BEFORE contacting BUNAC.

Again, thank you for your interest in Kamp Kohut. I look forward to speaking with you in the near future! Due to the rush of the holiday season, please do not be discouraged if you do not hear back from me immediately, but you should receive some kind of response within 2 – 4 days. I will be out of the office from December 17th through January 3rd. During that time, I will not have access to email and will respond as soon as possible the first week of January. Regardless, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Have a wonderful day!

Sincerely,

Jenny Green

They offer free lodging, so it seems like a really nice live-in summer job for someone who's not tied down (as in married).
