Hey, you guys that shoot Hoyts......do you prefer the Elite risers, or the regular Tec risers?

I only have one Elite riser bow, a Pro-Elite. I really like it, but I like the regular ProTecs better.

I already ordered my two new bows for 2005, both ProTecs. One Target color with XT3000 limbs, and one camo with XT2000 limbs.

Any reason I should change the order before it is too late?

Which do you prefer?

Mitch..

I think my UltraElite holds a bit better than the UltraTec, but thats mass...

I do have trouble switching back and forth between the shoot thru and open riser loading.

it messes my timing up....

I am a Browning man myself but I talked to a National Staffer about the Elite series last 3d season and he said it grouped better than the regular Tec series. Of course if you want one that shoots better than both then get a Browning. Couldn't help but throw that in.

I don't know why don't you send me a Proelite and I will tell you. :D

I would love to try an elite but the wife says a new bow every two to three years. :(

I have noticed that the tuning process is much easier with the elite riser bows. They will tune dead center where as most protecs all tune slightly inside center.

My proelite seems to hold steadier than my protec. But I like them both.
If I had to choose one over the other it would be the proelite.

Thank`s for the replys guys. :)

I think my Pro-Elite might hold better than my ProTecs, but the Elite gave me fits in the beginning to get it tuned!

Turned out it just wanted a WAY stiffer arrow than the ProTecs, everything else being equal?

It makes no sense to me, because if the stiffer riser of the Elite translates into more energy going into the arrow......the Elite should be noticably faster, but it is not any faster.

I guess I will just stay with the protec for now. If I change my mind later, some left handed guy will get a heck of a deal on a 2005 ProTec XT3000 limb Fusion bow!

Hey Big Country

I'll take that Pro Elite when you ready to get rid of it.
I own both a Protec and a Pro Elite and to my way of thinking there is no comparrison. The Pro Elite holds steadier and feels lighter then my Protec. Both are forgiving and are superb bows but the Pro Elite is the better bow hands down.
