Hey Tony,
I want to use your program but I'm not sure the best way to integrate TAP into my system. My main mac computer with email and such does not have Virtural PC and NO plans to add it on. On a different G4 workstation, I just loaded Virtural PC version 3.0 running windows 98, but doesn't have access to email. I can connect them together via ethernet but I'm not sure that solves my problem of validating your program. Seems like I might need the disk to make it easier although more expensive?

Man if you can figure it out let me know...I just ignore a lot of the archery specific software and assume it won't run on my mac. If someone would do something that uses excel functions and macros within an actual excel doc I'd be fine...even if they were compiling in Real Basic it would be an easy recompile for our macs...specialized software seems to be the one and only negative to owning these awesome machines

Let's keep after'em cuz MAC'S RULE! :XX3d:
Hmmmm.........
Macs run Linux right? :bduh: Isn't that what OSX10 really is? I kinda heard something like that. I also heard by the same person that Microsoft is the PRIMARY share holder in APPLE?! :eusa_wall:
I know that there are people running TAP in BOTH the MAC environment AND the LINUX environment!!! :hello2:
I cant possibly support THIS too.......so If any of you users who have done this are reading PLEASE chime in! :eusa_clap:

I think I can get TAP going on my desktop mac but I like to take it with me on a hand-held PDA whaich I haven't purchased yet. is there a requirement for version, memory? what is Pocket PC 2000? what are .run applications? can you suggest a model of PDA like a PALM?
thanks,
Dave
DELL AXIM all the way baby!!!! :D
Pocket PC version 2002 or higher. Preferably 2003 with service pack2.
It runs fine on 2002 but you need to download the .NET runtimes from microsoft.

I know the new OS runs on a Unix core...you get anyone using a mac with your stuff let me know...I will definitely have an interest...specialized software has been a good and bad thing for a mac...we don't get in on some of the cool software like this...but none of the virus' work on our machines either

so Pocket PC 2003 is an operating system like MS Windows 2000? I was thinking it's a classification of hand-held computers. Is Dell the only manufacturer of hand-helds that runs Pocket PC? sorry for sounding ignorant, the PC world is too confusing for my simple Mac brain:)
My goal is to have a hand held device that gives sight marks for field archery. Your program sounds like it offers a lot of options that the other archery programs don't have so that's why I'm interested in learning how to make it work. I've got the desktop part taken care of with Virtural PC, now I want the transportable version too. Thanks for any suggestions.
Dave
YUP! Pocket PC is an operating system like windows.....but more like windows XP. Dell has the Axim, Comaq has the I-Paq and there are others....
I tend to like Dell however.
