I just downloaded the trial version of OnTarget2. Prett fascinating stuff. I have been playing around with it and would like to see how accurate it is. Howver, when I go to the Make Marks tab, it only displays yardage marks from 15 to 30 yards, and then one more mark for 5o yards. How do I get all marks from 20 to say 100 yards?

The tapes print/display that way during the trial period.*

The program shows you the measurement between the 20 and 50 yards marks so you can compare this value to your existing set of marks.* If you have a dial caliper, you can set it to the 20-50 value and gauge your existing set of sight marks or pins.

There are only a couple of features that are "trial limited", this happens to be one of them.* To see all the marks, you have to "buy it". :D

Thanks for the response Larry. Do you recommend download or ordering the cd. I have experienced bad things with downloads in the past. Any kinks that you are aware of?

The downloaded trial version is the same software you'd get on a CD.

The CD comes with the latest version of software and all available target packs. The target packs can be downloaded by registered user from the main menu.

The only issue with the download is whether the downloaded install file is in fact "good". If you run a "bad" download install, it will say there is a "CRC error" or ask you to "insert disk #2". Since you've already got the trial version installed and working, this is a moot point. It will only apply to downloading future upgrades or the target packs.

The current price of the "Official CD" is $35, but you can make your own just by burning the latest "full program install" and the "target packs" to a CD. It should be noted that there isn't a hardcopy owner's manual that comes with the CD. CD means CD. The owners manual/instructions are in the form of on-line help.
