Well I am lucky to have a bunch of good bucks running around here but, I just got news that the
monster double drop saw his last day on Oct 28th.

I saw this guy twice over the summer feeding in the field. He is one of the largest bucks I have saw
outside of Government property around where I hunt.

Congrats to the lucky hunter who I have no idea who he is or what neighbors property he shot the beauty off of.

Still trying to figure that out. Racking my brain.

I figure him to gross low to mid 180's

WOW!

Unbelievable semmetry! Those have got to be the best drops I have ever seen.

OHIO is having another great year. I think I have seen more monster buck pics from that state than the " I " states, combined.

That is one neat looking buck! 8)

Pictures are hard to score, but I put him at 148" typical, and around 178" non-typical.

Pretty wild how his non-typical points are almost identical on each side.

We are pretty close on the guesstimate.

My guess wass gross non typical score.

Amazing the symmetry.

Just imagine the feeling seeing this guy the first time on a farm you have permission to hunt :D

Then to find the pic on the ODNR's website with county and township of harvest with no idea who the guy is or what neighbors he shot it off of :(

That's an awesome deer Buckeye. Too bad you didnt have a chance to get him yourself, but you ended up ok this year.

I had a simillar situation two years ago, I was hunting a big 13 point on my farm although he didnt stay there he came through between the two farms on a daily basis, well one day I was working in the Archery shop and this kid came in who hunted 2 miles away and said he had an awesome deer to check in so I went out to check it in and see it and there it was the big 13 point I was hunting, now this is the kicker, he came in and said he was checking it under landowner cause it was on his dad's property and he lived there also, I said o.k. then he said I better buy a tag so he did and used that tag to check the deer in, come to find out a buddy of mine shot the deer and this kid came across it before my buddy could find it and took the deer and said he shot it and didnt find it till a day later and it stunk bad, I told the kid this was one of the deer I was hunting he just chickled, well the deer is now in the IDNR office hanging on the wall and the kid got a $500 fine for illegally tagging and posessing a deer.

Here is a little update.

I did find out the hunters name and everything. Although I still do not know what farm he took the beast off of.

Turns out it was his first ever deer with a bow. Talk about starting out with a bang :eusa_clap:

Congrats again to the lucky hunter!
