A little Practice session

Well it was 20 degree's out today and I needed to keep my mind occupied so I was out in the yard shooting my bow. People driving by probably thought I was a nut case, but hey when it comes to archery and bowhunting it is my passion.
Who else practices all year?or am I the only nut out in the cold?

I do GM but I'm in Texas, heck it was almost 80 degrees here last week for a couple of days.

Yep I am with ya ! The other day is was sleeting and I was out fine tuning a bow. I shoot all year and love it, just wish I was good :oops:

i try to shoot 2 times a week. ive even mixed in some shooting well after dark with my stabilizer light for spotlighting hogs. and it seems that when i get the time to shoot the past 2 weeks it has been cold for TX. last night while shooting it was 37

I tried to shoot today but with a windchill of -15 I would shoot a few and then go in to warm up.

I shot outside yesterday in 15 degree temps! I didn't last very long, but it was nice to be shooting. My wife also lets me get away with shooting through the kitchen out on the back porch where my bag target is. Maybe 8 yards, but at least I am shooting. :grin:

:shock: Whoa Gander Man, my bow would freeze up and alot of other things too. My bow antifreeze is only good down to 28*.

Hey Dave you gave me a great Idea, I can shoot from the kitchen out into the garage, I need your phone number in case my wife wants to talk to you. :cool:
Texhunter I shot a couple of shots and I was back inside, now I here we are supposed to get5-6" of snowFriday night, I am off work this weekend so I dont have to drive in that mess thank goodness.

You know, if I open a few doors and stand just right I can shoot across the living room...down the hall...out the door ..and across the garage and get a 25 yard shot! And all the while stay inside and warm! (the wife has a cow though!).
I like to shoot outside as well, but like Gander, I have to brave the cold here in St. Louis.
