As you can see, I love to take photos ! ;) These are just a few of the beautiful photos I have taken of the Wonders of God that surround me as I'm out hunting. :)

Thanks Dick, really nice photos. Looks like you have some things growing in WA state that we don't in Texas.

Thanks guys! Those are just a few of the photos that I took one day. I have about 15 more different types of fungus in photos, but I didn't think you would need or want to see them all. ;) :)
It's a sad day in the woods when a hunter has too many hours to take photos of mushrooms and toadstools because he can't seem to even get a glimps of a deer! :( :( And then when he does, he shoots it, lets it run willie-nillie thru the woods right out onto the freeway and then he lets it get run over by a semi-truck! :( :( ;) :) :D

One last photo. I took this many years ago and won first place in 3 major National Photography Contests. My scanner didn't do it justice, but it's still pretty. :)
Are any of them edible? The only ones I trust my judgement on are the morals.

USA,
I"m not sure if any of those 'shrooms were edible. With mushrooms the best rule of thumb is "When In Doubt Go Without!" So I didn't pick any to try. :(
Dennis,
That sure is a Newberry growing there, an LB1 dual cam Newberry! ;) :) :D

Hey nubo,
Here's some wildlife for you:
Many years ago, after my youngest daughter was born, my wife had a stroke. The stroke made it so that she could no longer even stand to have wild game cooked in the house, let alone her eat any of it. :(
I hunted for a few seasons, but when I shot an animal I had to give it all away. The cost was too blooming much to continue that, so I sold all of my rifles and shotguns. Then I went out and bought a Minolta 35 mm. camera, a bunch of different lenses, flashes, tripods, etc. and started hunting with a Camera instead of guns. I was able to get out in the woods far more and I had a ball taking some really neat photos.
Here's a few of my old 35 mm hunting photos for you:

nubo,
If you go to the top of the main page and click on "Profile" it will open up a screen that shows your profile. Then you go to the left side of the screen and you will see a button that says Modify Profile. Click on the Forum Profile Information and go down to Sinature area. Here is where you type in what you want for a profile. Then you simply press the Change Profile button. You have now just added a signature to your postings.
This is also where you can put a custom avatar into your postings. (an avatar is either a small photo of you or a symbol that you want to show.)

Hey Pop Pop , what camera(s) do you use?

Jerry,
Nowadays I carry a Canon Powershot A80 Digital camera that has 5 megapixels of resolution. I also have a wide angle lens, a telephoto lens, a tabletop tripod, a normal sized tripod and a whole mess of Compactflash cards up to 512 mb. each and an of body flash for it. It isn't a super expensive camera, but the whole camera case with all the extra goodies is in a camera bag that is 12" x 6" x 12" and it doesn't weigh much. I bought the camera when it first came out last year, for the whole kit it was only $495. You can now get the camera alone for about $159 at Walmart and other discount chain stores. I personally feel that I spent my money on a very worthwhile camera!
The camera has a ton of different creative settings, a video mode and many more features that make it a lot of fun to use and get creative with. Do yourself a favor and check it out, you'll be glad that you did!

Thank's for your help Grandpawrichard ! I'll try it out tommorrow and see what we can come up with.

159.00 and with interchangeable lens capabilities too? :new_Eyecrazy: I've been using a Pentax Super Program 35 mm for years and have been wanting to get a digital for awhile now. I think I've found my next camera. Nice pics GPR!

Holy cow  GPR! $159 for 5 mpixels? That's enough for me to go get the wife one to replace her 35mm pocket job. Hmmm, then again she'll be wanting 50 million copies of everything to hand out to friends. Might have to rethink that idea! :(
The Canon's are very nice cameras with great software packages to go with them btw folks.
I'm using a Nikon 5700 I bought when it first came out. I needed the 8X zoom and bought a 1.4x teleconverter to add to that. Equals about 420mm when converted to SLR talk. Super camera but quite complicated for the casual user... lots of manual reading to really use it.
