Someone must have put the word out in Texas about ASN because a bunch of Texans have been joining lately. Welcome to all my Texas brothers.
Heck we might even pass up the MoJoes! ;) :D

Thanks for the welcome U 2. Bill, you are going to have to come to one of our Monday night shoots. Steve, Rafael, Jeff Franklin (Texas 10Pt from TBH), and myself get together at Bowzone and shoot a little friendly competion of Price Tag Wars. Someone leads off and shoots at 1 of 9 price tags stuck on a target, everyone else takes their turn shooting at that price tag (or the others arrows) closest to the center fo the price tag wins. They choose the next target and start over.

Man that would be a haul for me on a Monday night. Isn't Bowzone across from Carter Country?
I drove to Lone Star Screw Company (worked there) there on Hardy Rd between Old Town Spring and 1960 for almost 5 years after I moved up here.

Bill, i was out at lonestar screw a few times. i worked for American Coatings and LSS was running tests for us in the saltspray cabinets.
your right it is about 300 yrds short of Carters Country on Treshwig. maybe we can do a Saturday meet somewhere?

Steve when was that? I was the Quality Assurance Manager there from 1989 to 1999. We bought the cabinets on my watch. Full scale testing facility we had there. Tommy (can't remember his last name) took my place from a sister company when I left in '99.

we may have bumped shoulders then, seems like it was 98-99
I was only there twice to review and rate our panels. the guy i was talking with, can not remember a name but was in (member)the Houston Paint and Coatings Society

His name was probably Steve Cabral. I remember doing some panels back then but can't remember any particulars. A lifetime ago seems like.

Let me know when and where on that Saturday shoot. Since I live in Pearland, it's quite a hike up to Bowzone especially with traffic that time of day.

I think if we try a Saturday shoot/get together we could find somewhere more equal distance for all. Might be a cool way to try out new archery shops and meet and see what they got.
290 Gander Mountain would be about an hour drive for all of us. We could call Glen up at the Gander Mountain close to Tex Hunter and go raid his home turf. :D

I am in your neck of the woods today Bill. Wish I would have brought my bow with me. No hogs on my trailcam yesterday, but several deer. Need to move the camera as it is getting too much sunlight in the mornings and most of the pictures are pretty light.

We are going to have to make that happen Steve. I know I'm tied up the next couple of weekends but then................

we used to play a game we made up.
take the back side of a 5Spot target and make 3 rows of 3 price tags spaced out evenly
1 guys leads off and picks a tag to shoot at, the rest shoot at the same tag (all arrows staying in) and closest to tag wins point and leads off next round. reason for lead off is we put the target half and half , meaning half on the high target side and the other half on the low target side. it makes it interesting for weak spots in shooting.
first one to 10 wins the shoot. thinking about making it a nickle a shot just to make it fun. we like it, slap a few arrows, skewer a few vanes and only 1 RobinHood sofar.
pick a weekend your open and we will coordinate to get up there and shoot with ya!
