Unable to locate registration file

I think I have the software installed ok on my Vista machine. It always wants me to run it as an Administrator but I can live with that. As the software starts up I get an error "Unable to locate registration file". I tell it OK and it starts up. When I try to save a file or anything it locks up with me.

Firewalls were off, no option to turn DEP off completly so it is on for Windows programs only.

I also emailed you but I think I put more info here.

Any ideas?

The program looks for files at startup. You get this message when it can't locate them. Looking at the e-mail trail, it looks like you purchased a DB update prior to registering the software. We'll need to re-register the DB. You'll need to e-mail me for that.

Opening the Misc tab is normal. This opens a browser window and then the File Save Dialog. You may have some security software on your system that does not like the fact the program is opening a browser window. Another possibility is that you installed to a drive or directory other than the default. You'll need to send the "err.log" file for me to examine.
